Lernerville changes Pit Entry Policy for 2007
By Eric J. Westendorf
(Sarver, PA) Lernerville Speedway proudly announces some changes to the pit entry policy and general admission prices for the 2007 racing season. The biggest change in policy for the 2007 season is in that there will no longer be an age restriction for entry into the pits. Previously 16 and over, a change in insurance regulations has allowed General Manager Gary Risch, Jr. to allow children of any age admission into the pits. "This will be especially nice for the families of drivers and crew members." stated Risch, Jr., "Racing is a family affair. Kids spend all week in the garage helping on the car. Now they can help on race night as well!" There are of course some restrictions to ensure the safety of children in what can be a very hectic atmosphere. Parents will still have to sign a release form for minors to be allowed into the pits and minors must be escorted and under adult supervision at all times. Unlike the general admission pricing, there will be only one price for pit entry regardless of age. That price remains the same as previous years, $20 for DIRT members and $22 for non-members. DIRT Memberships can be purchased at the track office or via the DIRT Motorsports website at www.DirtMotorSports.com. There will also be some changes to the Fab Four Fast Friday admission pricing for the grandstands and reserved seating areas. In addition to being allowed into the pits, general admission pricing for children has also changed. The free entry for children has been increased from 6 years old and under to include 10 years old and under. Lernerville will also offer a student price of $7 for students 11-17 years old. Lernerville will extend that $7 student price to college students, with current college ID, on the last Fab Four Fast Friday show of every month. Pick 5 and Pick 10 ticket packages for Fab Four Fast Fridays and Season Pit Passes are also still available.
