Former WoO LMS Rookie of the Year Russ King ready for another Firecracker 100 weekend

Former WoO LMS Rookie of the Year Russ King ready for another Firecracker 100 weekend

Sarver, PA (June 5, 2014) Few drivers of any ilk, (local stars, regional racers, travelling Outlaws or Crown Jewel specialists), have experienced the highs and lows of the Firecracker 100 like Russ King has over the past seven seasons. As a rising local star, King struggled to find his way into the A-Main in the early years, then returned to one of his home tracks as a travelling member of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series during his eventual Rookie of the Year campaign to run a solid race and now has become one of the defenders of the Action Track. King won last year’s $3,000-to-win Uncle Sam 30 non-qualifiers race, but through it all, he always finds a way to just enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie more than anything else.

Fab Four Racing heats up as Action-Packed June draws near

Sarver, PA (May 28, 2014) With four rounds of Fab Four Racing in the books, the Budweiser Point standings are starting to take shape as the busiest and most exciting month of the season draws near.  But before we embark on June’s schedule of events, this Friday, May 30 will see the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models taking center stage after a thrilling feature last Friday Night.  Mike Pegher Jr. wheeled the iconic #1 Cochran Late Model to victory after a thrilling five-car battle for the lead with John Garvin Jr., Russ King, Alex Ferree and World of Outlaws Late Model star Chub Frank.  To be fair, most of the race was another duel between Pegher and Garvin, but a late race caution brought the others into the fold creating what was widely regarded as the best race of the season to date.

Diehl Automotive to help us honor the real Heroes on Armed Forces Night

Sarver, PA (May 22, 2014) I often describe our fantastic family of drivers as the Heroes of Fab Four Racing.  And while they are heroes to many of us, the real heroes are those who sacrifice their lives, (both figuratively and sometimes literally), to protect our rights and freedoms.  On Armed Forces Night, we pay tribute to those brave men and women who serve in our Armed Forces both at home and abroad, active and reserve duty and veterans of all ages.  The Diehl Automotive Group is proud to sponsor Fab Four Racing on Armed Forces Night.

Blaney and Shaffer join Opening Night winner Holtgraver in Homecoming

Sarver, PA (May 7, 2014) Homecoming games and weekends are staples of high school and college sports.  Lernerville’s version of Homecoming is when the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints roll into town as former Track Champions Dale Blaney (1991), Tim Shaffer (1993) and Danny Holtgraver (2010) headline Guy Webb’s America’s Series.

Between Blaney and Shaffer, they have accounted for the past six All Star Championships and eight total; four each.  Blaney is the all time All Star wins leader and recently scored his 100th series win, while Shaffer is fifth all time with 53.

Holtgraver has been with the series just three years and already has seven feature wins including the most recent Lernerville race in September 2012.  Shaffer won four of the previous six Lernerville All Star races with Blaney winning one of those other two.  Blaney also won a Lernerville All Star race in 1996.
