“Moose Hunt” Fundraiser scheduled for Sunday November 23 at the Saxonburg VFD!

Sarver, PA (October 17, 2008) Due to scheduling conflicts, this event has been rescheduled to Sunday November 23!!!

As many of you may already know, our assistant flagman Michael Polena, affectionately known as “Moose”, was injured in a senseless on track incident during a yellow flag session earlier this month at Challenger Speedway.   The details at this point are water under the bridge!  The important thing is that Moose is okay, but at the same time, he faces a long, grueling recovery from torn knee ligaments and a dislocated knee cap among other moderate injuries.

We are organizing a fundraiser to help with medical and living expenses during his time of recovery and rehabilitation.  The “Moose Hunt” Benefit will be held at the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday November 23 from 1:00-6:00PM.  The benefit will include a Spaghetti Dinner, Chinese Auction, Prizes and of course the “Moose Hunt”!  Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children.

We are asking, at this time, for donations to help in our quest to raise money for one of our own!  We ask for your generous donations in the form of money or for anything that can be included in a raffle (magazine subscriptions, race tickets, season passes, Steelers/Penguins tickets, gift certificates, shirts, hats, whatever service you and your company provide!)  Please send your donation(s) to:
