The Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede

Three Awesome Nights, Eight Fast Divisions

Thursday-Saturday October 22-24

Sarver, PA (October 7, 2009) Building on the success of last year’s Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up “The Party in Pevely” at I-55 Speedway in Missouri, the Lernerville Speedway will host their own DIRTcar Round Up on Thursday-Saturday October 22-24.  Dubbed the “Steel City Stampede”, eight divisions will roll into Sarver, PA – just 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh - for a high powered rodeo featuring eight divisions of high speed entertainment and boot stompin’ concerts that are becoming a Lernerville trademark!

What eight divisions?  If you’re a fan of Fab Four Racing, you’ll be a big fan of the Steel City Stampede as all four divisions will be in action all three nights.  If you’ve been stuck on the farm the past 10 years, Fab Four Racing is the only weekly program in the entire United States to offer 410 Sprints, Super Late Models, Big Block Modifieds and Sportsman Stocks on the same night!  But we’ve also decided to invite the Pro Late Models (Crates), UMP Modifieds (EMods), 4 Cylinders and Mod Lites to our little shindig!  We’ve also added one last 100-lap Enduro for the “Average Joe” to take the track when all the dust settles after a wild weekend of racing.

The excitement kicks off Thursday at noon when the camping areas open.  Registration and “Early Bird” inspections begin at 3:00PM with rotating hot laps for all eight divisions beginning at 7:00PM.  The night will be capped by the “Early Bird” Party in the Round Up Tent.

Registration and Inspection open again at 3:00PM on Friday afternoon.  A drivers meeting at 6:30PM will be followed by racing at 7:00.  Live music will rock the Round Up Tent at 10:00PM.

A big country breakfast will be served at 10:00AM Saturday morning to kick off a full day of events, including registration at 12NOON, inspection at 1:00PM, a charity wienie roast at 3:00 and a driver autograph session at 4:00PM.  The 5:00PM drivers meeting will be followed by racing at 6:00PM sharp!  And the weekend will come to a close at the Round Up Tent for the Champions Party featuring more live music.  If you liked Fall Fest at Challenger, you’ll love the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede at Lernerville Speedway!

Don’t be mistaken, the Steel City Stampede is not about bringing in big name drivers from all over the country, it’s about having one last throw down with the “Heroes of Fab Four Racing” and bringing other local/regional drivers from other divisions that compete at area tracks who seldom have the opportunity to spin their wheels at Lernerville Speedway!

All four divisions of Fab Four Racing will compete for an increased purse.  The 410 Sprints, Super Late Models and Big Block Modifieds will run 25-lap features paying $2000-to-win.  The Sportsman Stocks will run 20-lap features paying $1000-to-win, as will the Pro Late Models and UMP Modifieds.  The 4 Cylinders and Mod Lites will run 15-lap features paying $500-to-win.

After the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede Champion Belt Buckles are handed out in Sheetz Victory Lane, a 100-lap Enduro will roll onto the track with $1000 on the line for the winner!

Rules for the Sprints, Lates and Mods will be the standard Lernerville Speedway rules, while the Sportsman/Stock division will run the Autumn-Motive Fest “Open Rules”.  Rules for the other divisions are posted on the Steel City Stampede section of www.Lernerville.com or the newly launched www.SteelCityStampede.com.

Tickets are very reasonably priced for a three day event.  In fact, the first night is FREE for General Admission!  Pit passes are just $10 for DIRTcar Members and $15 for non-members on Thursday Night.  Friday Night pit passes are $25 for DIRTcar Members and $30 for non-members, while General Admission is $20 for the grandstands.  Saturday Night pit passes are $25 for DIRTcar Members and $30 for non-members, while General Admission is $25 for the grandstands.

Three-day and Two-day pit passes are $50 for DIRTcar Members and $60 for non-members.

Reserved camping will also be available for just $25 for a 12’X50’ homestead.  Call (724) 353-1511 for more details and to reserve your lot today!
