Who: The Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede will feature all four divisions of Fab Four Racing – Commercial Truck & Trailer DIRTcar Sprints, Friedman’s Freshmarkets DIRTcar Late Models, Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman/Stock Cars – plus UMP Pro (Crate) Late Models, UMP (EMod) Modifieds, 4 Cylinders and Mod Lites.  In addition to the eight divisions that will take to the track all three nights of the Steel City Stampede, the Enduros will bring the racing action to a close on Saturday Night with another $1000-to-win, 100-lap rolling demolition derby.

Recently crowned 2009 Track Champions Rod George (Sprints), Alex Ferree (Lates), Jeremiah Shingledecker (Mods) and Bob Lipinski (Sportsman) are all expected to take part in the action.

Why: 410 Sprints, Super Late Models and Big Block Modifieds will be racing for $2000-to-win; Sportsman/Stocks, Pro Late Models, UMP Modifieds and Enduros will be racing for $1000-to-win; while the 4 Cylinders and Mod Lites will be racing for $500-to-win.

In addition to the increased payouts, the feature winners will also be crowned as the Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede Champions.

And finally, to get one last weekend of racing in before the Action Track goes dark for the season!

Where to Stay: Reserved Camping is available on site for just $25!  Reserved camping provides a flat space with proximity to the pits.  Please call the speedway office (724) 353-1511 to reserve your space today!  General Camping will also be available free of charge on a first come, first serve basis, but will be further away from the track.  There are no electric/water hookups in either area.

The Days Inn in Butler, PA is the top recommendation for travelers planning to stay at a hotel.  The Days Inn in Butler is located 10 miles from the speedway on Route 8 just south of Butler.  The Days Inn has an indoor pool, on-site restaurant & lounge and is in close proximity to a handful of restaurants including McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Burger King.  Other nearby towns with hotels include (arranged in order of proximity) Butler, Kittanning, New Kensington, Cranberry Twp. and Harmar Twp.  Of those locations, while a little but further away, The Days Inn in Harmar Twp. probably provides the second best option to Butler as it is a short, easy trip down Routes 356 & 28 and the area is loaded with restaurants, hotels and retail options.

How to get involved: The Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede is more than a three-day show; it’s also a total fan experience.  The Round Up Tent will be open each night after the on track action has come to a close with music to help you unwind.

On Friday Night, children 12 & under are invited to bring their carved pumpkins to the track for a contest that will be judged at 6:00PM.  Adults will be invited to partake in their own Pumpkin Carving Contest in the Round Up Tent after the races are over.  Adults can register at the Lernerville Souvenir Trailer.  Prizes will be awarded for both child & adult contests.

On Saturday afternoon, fans will have the opportunity to meet & greet their favorite drivers at the Driver Autograph Session.

On Saturday Night, children of all ages are encouraged to wear their costumes and invited to participate in a Costume Parade at 5:00PM.  Children in costume will be eligible to win bikes, adults will be eligible for “Dinner for Two” gift cards/certificates.

In Closing: Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take part in the first ever three-day show in the history of Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway!  The Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede will be the last chance in 2009 to see Fab Four Racing, plus four other divisions and another 100-lap Enduro.  For rules and procedures for the Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede, log on to www.SteelCityStampede.com.
