Hot Laps Burn Up the Action Track on Opening Night of the Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede

Sarver, PA (October 22, 2009) A perfect fall evening welcomed the first of three nights of racing as the Inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede got under way tonight at Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway with rotating hot laps for all eight divisions.

All three of the King Bros. Clan were on hand as Rex and Rex Jr. hit the track in their Big Block Modifieds and Russell rolled out his World of Outlaws Late Models Series Rookie of the Year mount around the Action Track.   

Sprint Car Hot Shoe Danny Holtgraver was shaking down a new car with a new look anticipating a year end trip to the World Finals at the Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Speaking of Sprint Car Hot Shoes, Florida driver Bryn Gohn, stepson of Kenny Adams, was behind the wheel of the Kelsey George Racing #43 tonight.

The DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede will resume tomorrow night with heat races for all eight divisions.  Registration opens at 3:00PM at the Round Up tent outside the pit gate, which also opens at 3:00PM.  Racing is scheduled to begin at 7:00.  With an unfavorable forecast for tomorrow, there is a raindate of Sunday October 25 if necessary.

Kids don’t forget to bring your carved pumpkins to the track Friday Night and wear your costume Saturday Night for a chance to win prizes including FREE bikes!
