Sarver, PA (June 19, 2014)  The Mid-Season Championships always bring some extra excitement to a Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing because each feature carries a track provisional for the respective division’s upcoming Big Ticket event.  For the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models, that means a guaranteed spot into next weekend’s $30,000-to-win 8th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com on Saturday, June 28.

Defending Track Champion Alex Ferree enters Friday’s Mid-Season Championship as the Budweiser Points Leader, last Friday’s feature winner and last year’s event winner.  Despite the odds being heavily stacked in his favor, even if Alex doesn’t win this year’s Mid-Season Championship, he’s already all but mathematically locked into the Firecracker A-Main as the second track provisional goes to the Budweiser Points leader.  While he has a comfortable 17-point lead over former World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rookie of the Year Russ King, Ferree is 55 points ahead of third place John Garvin Jr. and the maximum amount of points that can be accumulate in one night is 40.  With a guaranteed spot in next weekend’s $30,000-to-win A-Main on the line, you never know who will roll into Sarvertown to try to lock in to the event a week in advance!

Carl Bowser rolls into Friday Night with the biggest lead of any driver in any division of Fab Four Racing at 33 points over Brandon Matus and 34 points over Jack Sodeman Jr.  Friday’s Mid-Season Championship is the next to last Fast Friday before the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30s presented by GottaRace.com on Tuesday, July 15.  Fab Four Racing will have two weeks off after the Mid-Season Championships as the BOSS Wingless Sprints and RUSH Late Models & Modifieds will invade the Action Track the weekend after the Firecracker on the Fourth of July, leaving just Friday, July 11 as the only other Peoples TWP DIRTcar Sprint Feature between the Mid-Season Championships and Silver Cup.  Bowser won last Friday’s feature, (his second in a row and third of the season), while Jack Sodeman Jr. is the Defending Mid-Season Champion, but has yet to win a Peoples TWP Sprint feature this season.  Brandon Matus is also looking for his first win of the season after a pair of strong second place runs each of the past two Fast Fridays.

The ground pounding Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modifieds will be vying for a guaranteed spot in the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede presented by GottaRace.com in October.  Rex King Jr. enters the event as the Budweiser Points leaders, while Dave Murdick enters as last week’s feature winner and Jeremiah Shingledecker enters as the Defending Mid-Season Champion.  All Time Wins leader Brian Swartzlander is off to a rough start this season, but his longtime sponsor McCutcheon Enterprises will be hosting a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Benefit during the night and Swartzlander will try to cap it off by winning his second Diehl Mods feature of the season!

The Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman will also have some extra incentive as the Mid-Season Champion will be locked into the Sportsman/Stock Spectacular portion of Autumn-Motive Fest 2014 in September.  Mark Sanders picked up his first career feature win last Friday and two-time feature winners Jim Fosnaught and Corey McPherson will both be looking for the hat trick as they continue to battle for the 2014 Budweiser Track Championship.  Rob Shook is winless this season, but is just one point behind McPherson in the standings and has been a contender almost every week; making him overdue at this point to stand victorious in Sheetz Victory Lane.

The Mid-Season format differs slightly from the standard Fab Four Racing programs as the Budweiser Points are used for the redraw instead of the heat race finishes.  The Budweiser Points leader will redraw for their feature starting position first, then second in heats and so on for qualifying drivers in the top ten in Budweiser Points; top 12 for Sportsman because they still start 24 cars in the feature, while the other divisions only start 20.  Last week’s feature does not have to start 10th/12th, but they will be required to start on the 5th/6th row on July 11 alongside the Mid-Season Champion.

Before the races begin, and even during the races if some children so choose, the first 60 registered members of the Lernerville Kids Club will be receiving and decorating the Kids Club t-shirts provided courtesy of Fully Injected Motorsports.  Log on to www.FullyInjected.com or following them on Twitter for race results, news and driver press releases.  Special thanks to Tyler Altmeyer and Classic Ink for this generous donation to our youngest and most important race fans!

And of course, next week is our biggest racing weekend of the season as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and best Dirt Late Model drivers in the country call on the Action Track for the 8th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.  A recent turn of events has opened the door for a lot more drivers to make their way to Lernerville Speedway for the three-day mega show featuring complete World of Outlaws Late Model Series programs Thursday & Friday Nights and $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 A-Main and $3,000-to-win Uncle Sam 30 on Saturday Night.  Inaugural and Two-Time Firecracker Champion Scott Bloomquist announced his intention to vie for his third Firecracker Crown on his website and you rest assured he will be back on the horseshoe pit Saturday afternoon as well!

Advance reserved tickets are still on sale for just $69 on our website www.Lernerville.com or by calling the speedway office during normal business hours at (724) 353-1511.  The advance $69 three-day package also includes a FREE pit pass upgrade offer for Thursday & Friday Nights.  This offer continues through 11:59PM on Wednesday, June 25.
