Budweiser Title Contenders running out of chances to catch Points Leaders

Bud Title Contenders running out of chances to catch Points Leaders
Nostalgia Night and MRO Injured Drivers Benefit Auction this Friday
World of Outlaws Late Models soon to return to the Action Track

Sarver, PA (August 6, 2014) With just three weeks remaining in the 2014 Fab Four Racing season, the Budweiser Points Leaders are distancing themselves from the field, as three of the four won their respective features last week.  Rex King Jr., Carl Bowser and Alex Ferree each made their fourth trip of the season to Sheetz Victory Lane last Friday, just as Jim Fosnaught did a few weeks ago.

Bowser and Ferree each carry more than a full night’s worth of points lead into Friday Night’s program.  Bowser leads Brandon Matus 383-339 in the Peoples TWP Sprints, while Ferree leads Russ King 400-334 in the Precise Late Models.  Rex King Jr. stretched his lead in the Diehl Mods to 385-362 over his father Rex King Sr.

The closest race, as usual, is in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman where Jim Fosnaught remains the Bud Points leader, but Rob Shook now rides second after his feature win Friday Night and Corey McPherson’s disqualification.  Entering Friday Night, Fosnaught (406) leads Shook (389) by 17 and McPherson (370) by 36.

In addition to the on-track action Friday Night, Don Gamble will also be hosting the annual Nostalgia Night that acts as a homecoming for Lernerville Legends from the 45+ year history of the speedway and displays racecars of days gone by.  The following individuals have attended previous Nostalgia Night Events:

In addition to the Nostalgia Night festivities, Jackie Matus and her crew will be hosting the MRO Injured Drivers Benefit Auction that will include sprint car wings, Late  Model/Modified/Sportsman door and roof panels, driver t-shirts, die-cast cars, Victory Lane hats signed by 2014 feature winners from each division of Fab Four Racing, ticket packages for the Working Man 50, Commonwealth Clash and Steel City Stampede, gift baskets from track/car sponsors and many, many more prizes!  As always, all proceeds go directly into the Injured Drivers fund which supports local drivers in need.
