Lanigan, Eckert Lead World of Outlaws Late Model Series Stars to the 8th Annual Firecracker presented by GottaRace.com

POTTSVILLE, Pa. - June 23, 2014 - The World of Outlaws Late Model Series shifts back into high gear this week beginning on Tuesday night with the series' return to Big Diamond Speedway for the first time since 2009 in the Diamond Shines 40 followed Thursday through Saturday by the 8th Annual Firecracker weekend at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa.

Current points leader Darrell Lanigan was a Big Diamond winner in 2008 and has a stranglehold on the championship with four wins and 12 top-five finishes in 13 races. Josh Richards was the '09 event winner, but Rick Eckert is second in points piloting that #1 Rocket car Richards drove to victory. Eckert might be the hottest driver on the circuit as he's coming off of two DIRTcar Summer Nationals wins last week.

Plus, Eckert, who is seeking his first World of Outlaws Late Model Series win of the season, has some home-cooking working on his side as Big Diamond is only an hour-and-half from his home in York, Pa., where Monday night he'll be home for the first time in a few weeks.

Firecracker 100 Weekend isn’t just a three-day race, it’s an event!

Sarver, PA (June 18, 2014)  What started out as a two-day World of Outlaws Late Model Series race back in 2007, has evolved into a three-day racing event that has become a destination for race fans all over the country!  While there are three-complete shows of Dirt Late Model Racing on the Action Track, the entertainment and fan/driver interaction off the track is every bit as responsible for the evolution of this three-day mega racing event!

McDowell, Lanigan and Satterlee all seek first $30,000 Firecracker 100 Crown

Dale McDowell, Darrell Lanigan and Gregg Satterlee all seek first $30,000 Firecracker 100 Crown

Sarver, PA (June 9, 2014)  The collective eyes of the Dirt Late Model world were focused squarely on the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH this past weekend for the Dirt Late Model Dream.  In its 20th year, “The Dream” is one of the Crown Jewels of Dirt Late Model Racing and Chickamauga, GA’s Dale McDowell prevailed over a Who’s Who of Dirt Late Model racing.  With a cool, $100 Grand in his pocket, McDowell now has his sights set next on the 8th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by www.GottaRace.com on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 26-27-28.

Russ King ready for another Firecracker 100 weekend

Former WoO LMS Rookie of the Year Russ King ready for another Firecracker 100 weekend

Sarver, PA (June 5, 2014) Few drivers of any ilk, (local stars, regional racers, travelling Outlaws or Crown Jewel specialists), have experienced the highs and lows of the Firecracker 100 like Russ King has over the past seven seasons. As a rising local star, King struggled to find his way into the A-Main in the early years, then returned to one of his home tracks as a travelling member of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series during his eventual Rookie of the Year campaign to run a solid race and now has become one of the defenders of the Action Track. King won last year’s $3,000-to-win Uncle Sam 30 non-qualifiers race, but through it all, he always finds a way to just enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie more than anything else.
