The Recent History of the Commonwealth Clash presented by GottaRace.com

Sarver, PA (September 18, 2014) The Commonwealth Clash is an event that has been around for a while now, but it’s just been the past several years that it has been contested in September; prior to 2009, the race was run in May.  The Inaugural September date in 2009 was rained out, as was the case last season.  In between were three great races won by Donny Schatz (2010), Jason Meyers (2011) and Dale Blaney (2012).

Sarver, PA (September 16, 2013) When last the “Greatest Show on Dirt” took to the Action Track, Daryn Pittman and Donny Schatz stood in Victory Lane together as winners each of one of the Silver Cup Twin 30s.  Schatz’s average finish made him Silver Cup Champion.  And now, with the 2013 schedule winding down, Pittman and Schatz are in an all out dogfight for the Championship.  Schatz went on an absolute tear throughout the month of money; winning more than 10 World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car series races since July 1, including the Brad Doty Classic, the Silver Cup, Summer Nationals and Knoxville Nationals.  He just recently eclipsed 20 Outlaws wins for the season, but Darryn Pittman continues to hold the points lead over Schatz.
