Joey Saldana holds off a hard charging David Gravel to win Commonwealth Clash
Great night by Logan Wagner ends in disappointment battling for second

Sarver, PA (September 20, 2014) Coming off his sixth World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win of the season last night at Eldora Speedway, Joey Saldana led all 35 laps of the $10,000-to-win Commonwealth Clash presented by GottaRace.com in the Motter Motorsports #71M. Saldana started on the outside pole alongside star of the night Logan Wagner who won heat race #4 and the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Dash. Wagner’s night came to a disappointed end mid-race when he and David Gravel made contact on the front straightaway battling for second. The contact sent Wagner into the infield jersey barrier and a disappointing 22nd place finish. Gravel was all over Saldana for the final 10 laps, but could not find a clean way around him to make a pass for the lead. Saldana scored his seventh win of the season and first at Lernerville Speedway since 2010. Paul McMahan joined Saldana and Gravel on the podium. Hometown favorite Danny Holtgraver scored a solid top five finish; one spot behind fourth place finisher Shane Stewart. Fellow former Track Champion Tim Shaffer finished tenth.

Steel City Stampede Race Report

10.25 Swartzlander

Brian Swartzlander, Chris Schneider & Andrew Smith Defend Belt Buckles
Rod George & Russ King claim $3,000 Stampede wins
Ruhlman, Strickler, Martin & Frantz also victorious

Sarver, PA (October 26, 2014) A dream season has come to an end with the successful completion of the 6th Annual DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede; the 27th straight scheduled night of racing and 29 of 30 during the 2014 Lernerville Speedway schedule.  In a sport so completely dependent on the weather, canceling just one event in an entire season is absolutely unheard of and to end the season with three consecutive nights of perfect fall weather for Western PA was the icing on the cake.  The great forecast and handsome purses brought in an astounding 313 cars across nine fast divisions.

The Finest Race Fans in the World are no strangers to the names of the feature winners of the Fab Four Racing divisions as Rod George, Russ King, Brian Swartzlander and Chris Schneider stood victorious in Sheetz Victory Lane holding a Stampede Belt Buckle & Steel Plate, as well as a jug of Turner’s Premium Iced Tea and a bag of Snyder’s of Berlin Potato Chips.

Fab Four Race Report 8.22 - Fosnaught Caps Dream Season

Jim Fosnaught endures rain delay to be crowned 2014 Track Champion
Brian Swartzlander adds to Hall of Fame Resume
Logan Wagner wins first 410 Sprint Feature
Michael Norris takes second win of season

Sarver, PA (August 24, 2014)  It appeared as though we had beaten a forecast of rain, but as showers were visible off in the distance of the back straightaway, the first Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Model heat race was deluged by rain coming from turns three & four as they were restarting the race.  Several cars sailed wildly off of turn three as the Action Track was instantly turned into an ice rink.  Thankfully, all the drivers were okay, but Alex Ferree’s car especially was heavily damaged.  A 15-20 minute monsoon ensued and seriously jeopardized the completion of Championship Night.  But the upside was that it was only 8:30 which gave us plenty of time to get the track back and despite less than ideal conditions to push off sprints and hook disabled vehicles after cautions, we were able to complete the Fab Four Racing season on the track with all divisions of!
