Clanton Hopes to Add $30,000 Firecracker 100 Victory to His Stellar 2015 Season

SARVER, Pa. - June 22, 2015 - With a career-high five World of Outlaws Late Model Series victories already to his credit and a commanding lead in the national tour's points chase, Shane Clanton is well on his way to making the 2015 season the best of his career. But the Zebulon, Ga., driver would like to add even more luster to his stellar year with a crown jewel victory in this weekend's ninth annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com at Lernerville Speedway.

Clanton, whose career highlights include a Firecracker 100 victory in 2010, will be among a star-studded field of Dirt Late Models converging on Lernerville's 4/10-mile oval for three nights of WoO LMS action as part of one of the summer's biggest race weekends. Both Thursday and Friday will feature separate WoO LMS programs that determine the lineups for Firecracker 100 heat races. Those heats will kick off a blockbuster night Saturday evening that culminates in the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 finale.

Uncle Sam 30 Race Report - Russ King outslides Boom Briggs to $3,000 Uncle Sam 30 payday

Russ King outslides Boom Briggs to $3,000 Uncle Sam 30 payday

Sarver, PA (July 2, 2013) Those that headed for the parking lot or their camper after Josh Richards’ dominant win in the wildly entertaining 7th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com missed another great show in the Uncle Sam 30 presented by Turner’s Premium Iced Tea.  The non-qualifiers race is part of what makes the Firecracker 100 weekend a Crown Jewel event on the Dirt Late Model scene as even those that fail to qualify for the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 A-Main still have a chance to salvage a decent finish to the weekend!

Firecracker 100 Local Perspective - Gregg Satterlee leads the way for the “home team”

Sarver, PA (July 2, 2013) As always, the local and regional Late Model drivers came out in droves to support the three-day Firecracker 100 weekend and the results were a mixed bag!  For some drivers, just being in competition is enough; to be part of the biggest Late Model racing weekend in Pennsylvania is a mission accomplished.  For others, they want to measure themselves against the best Dirt Late Model drivers in the country and race into the A-Mains.  But for guys like Gregg Satterlee, Dave Hess Jr. and Davey Johnson, they want to equal the feats of Ed Lynch Jr., Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney in the Sprint Car division by defending their home turf and adding a World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-Main win at Lernerville Speedway to their resume.  And while no local driver has conquered that mountain, Gregg Satterlee came the closest of any driver yet!

Lanigan’s Late-Race Bid Falls Short In World of Outlaws Late Model Series Spectacular

SARVER, PA – June 30, 2012 – Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., was flawless from start-to-finish en route to his second career victory in the Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com on Saturday night at Lernerville Speedway.

The 48-year-old dirt Late Model legend overtook teenager Tyler Reddick of DuQuoin, Ill., for the lead on lap two and never looked back. He gracefully handled the race’s two restarts and outlasted the late-charging Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., to become the second two-time winner of the six-year-old World of Outlaws Late Model Series event.

Sarver, PA (June 30, 2012) Scott Bloomquist became the second driver to repeat as Champion by leading all 100 laps of the $30,000-to-win 6th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com  at Lernerville Speedway.  Darrell Lanigan patiently reeled in the VooDoo Child in the closing laps, but jumped the cushion in turns one & two on lap 99 and had to settle for second place for the fourth time in six years!  Current Lernerville Speedway/Budweiser Points Leader Jared Miley came from 23rd on the starting grid to finish eighth, a personal best and the best finish of any local driver in the six year history of the event.  Texas driver Morgan Bagley won the Uncle Sam 30 over Lernerville semi-regular Boom Briggs to take home the $3,000 winner’s share of the Firecracker 100 non-qualifiers race.  And finally, Makayla Guidace was named Ms. Firecracker 2012 and will replace the super sweet Samantha McCullough as the Lernerville Speedway Trophy Girl until next year’s 7th Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com!
