Small Block Showcase headlines Armed Forces Night!

Shawn Fleeger ready to capitalize on Big Block experience.

Sarver, PA (May 16, 2012) Fab Four Racing is back in action again this Friday, May 18, but with a little twist as the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modifieds will be replaced on the card with the Small Block Showcase featuring the 358 Modifieds that call Mercer Raceway Park home on Saturday Nights.  While welcomed to compete with the Diehl Mods every Friday night on an amended rules package, the Small Blocks will take center stage this week thanks to Jerry Schaffer of Approved Toilet Rentals.  The Small Blocks will be competing under Mercer’s Small Block rules package for $1,000-to-win without having to compete against the extra speed and horsepower of the Big Block Mods.

Chub Frank holds off Alex Ferree in Precise Late Models

Dave Murdick and Mike Miller win first features of 2012

Sarver, PA (May 11, 2012) Carl Bowser has had a rough start to the 2012 season, fighting a new Eagle Chassis that just couldn’t get along with the Action Track.  So Carl went back to the drawing board this week and broke out the J&J Chassis that he piloted to the 2011 Track Championship.  The end result; his first feature win of 2012!  Chub Frank, Dave Murdick and Mike Miller all followed suit with their first feature wins of the season in their respective divisions on Twin State Auto Racing Club Night.  Friday night was also Breast Cancer Awareness night; our annual homage to mothers and grandmothers whom have battled breast cancer.  The “Finest Race Fans in the World” generously donated $800 to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure; a record amount as nearly perfect weather conditions helped us fill the stands!

Carl Bowser back on top in Ti22 Sprints! Chubzilla, Murdick and Miller score first wins of 2012!

Carl Bowser goes back to championship winning formula and wins Ti22 Sprint feature

Chub Frank, Dave Murdick and Mike Miller all win first races of 2012

Sarver, PA (May 11, 2012) Defending Track Champion Carl Bowser went back to his J&J Chassis that he rode to the title last year and scored his first Ti22 Sprint feature win of the season over Opening Night feature winner Kevin Schaeffer.  In the Precise Late Models, World of Outlaws star Chub Frank came home for his first feature win of the season over a rejuvenated Alex Ferree; his best run at the Action Track in a couple years! Dave Murdick also scored his first feature win of the season after a spirited battle from Kevin Bolland in the Diehl Mods.  Defending Pic-A-Part Sportsman Champion Mike Miller kept the trend of first time winners rolling as he held off Bud Points leader Corey McPherson to take his first checkered flag of 2012.  And last, but certainly not least, the “Finest Race Fans in the World” stepped up again to generously donate $800 to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Breast Cancer Awareness Night!

Pete Miller III rides the cushion to first Ti22 Sprint win

Defending Champion Shingledecker notches first of year

Jared Miley says “Adios Amigos” in Precise Late Model Feature

Young survives early incident to win Pic-A-Part Sportsman feature

Sarver, PA (May 4, 2012) Cinco de Mayo Eve was a fast and furious kind of evening as a hot and humid afternoon gave way to breezy conditions later in the evening as severe weather closed in from all directions; tracks to the west, north and east all canceled and/or were rained out before the completion of their program.  But Fab Four Racing was pushed along at a fever pitch and the entire program was completed before the rains came shortly after 11:00.  The action of the track stayed hot all night long as two All Time Division Wins leaders and future Hall of Famers took the lead in their respective features, only to uncharacteristically lose them instead of adding to their lofty win totals.  So instead of Ed Lynch Jr. and Brian Swartzlander in Sheetz Victory Lane, it was Pete Miller III and Jeremiah Shingledecker.

Pete Miller III wins a thriller to score his first Ti22 Sprint feature

Shingledecker and Miley endure caution riddled features

Terry Young returns to Sheetz Victory Lane after a three year hiatus

Sarver, PA (May 4, 2012) Defending Diehl Mods Track Champion Jeremiah Shingledecker took the first checkered flag of Cinco de Mayo Eve and Jared Miley checked out from the Precise Late Model field to score his second win of the season, but it was travelling All Star Circuit of Champions rising star Pete Miller III that stole the show!  On his 21st birthday, the “Repo Man” scored his first career Lernerville Speedway feature win after a thrilling battle with Ed Lynch Jr. resulted in heavy contact sending both cars spinning towards the infield jersey barrier.  But as Lynch back in and stopped just short of contact with the barrier, Miller stood on the loud pedal and straightened it out down the front stretch.  The caution waved, but Miller was undaunted by the restart with last week’s feature winner Brian Ellenberger on his tail tank to score a memorable win.  Terry Young shut down the fiesta with his first feature win in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman since 2009.
