Fab4 Fueled by Turners Championship stretch drive begins Friday, July 29

Millerstown Pic-A-Part Sportsman/Stock division added to Working Man 50

Sarver, PA (July 25, 2016) With the Don Martin Memorial 25th Anniversary Silver Cup in the rearview mirror and the cancelation of last Fridays Modified Mania, Fab4 Racing Fueled by Turner's Premium Iced Teas has officially entered the stretch drive to the 2016 Track Championships.  Jack Sodeman Jr., Russ King, Mat Williamson and Corey McPherson lead the point standings in their respective divisions heading into the final five weeks of Fast Fridays of Fab4 Fueled by Turners.

In the Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprints, Jack Sodeman Jr. (290) leads the way by a scant six points over Defending Track Champion AJ Flick (284).  Each driver has two feature wins and three heat race wins thus far.  This one truly appears destined to come down to the last feature of the season.  Also still in the hunt are a trio of drivers riding in the top five in points, as Dan Kuriger (247), Scott Priester (245) and Carl Bowser (237) are all still within striking distance with five races remaining.  Brandon Matus, John Garvin Jr., Brent Matus, Dan Shetler and Alex Paden enter the stretch drive in the top ten in points.

Russ King won the Opening Night feature in the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models and has led the points for most of the season.  His recent win on Friday, July 15 was just his second of the season, but King has amassed five second place finishes, has finished no worse than fourth and shares the lead in Fab4 Racing with six heat race wins.  King, with 299 points, holds a comfortable, but not insurmountable lead of 31 points over Three-Time and Defending Track Champion Alex Ferree with 268.  And if anyone knows what it takes to win a Lernerville Track Championship, its certainly Alex Ferree; winner of six of the last nine Late Model titles.  Matt Lux (230), Mike Pegher Jr. (222) and Michael Norris (213) are not mathematically eliminated from title contention, but are fast running out of time to close the gap.  Gary Lyle, Ken Schaltenbrand, Brandon Wearing, Michael Lake and Tommy Schirnhofer are currently in the top ten in points.

The Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modifieds division has been the Mat Williamson show since May 20, as the Canadian Sensation has won six of the past seven features and at 336 points thus far, enjoys a 42-point lead over Opening Night feature winner Rex King Jr. (294).  In addition to his Opening Night feature win, King also has seven top fives and four other podium finishes, but it hard to match points with a guy that has six feature wins.  Surprisingly, all-time division wins leader Brian Swartzlander has yet to find Dlubak Powder Coatings Victory Lane in 2016, but consistently finishing in the top five finds him third in points with 262.  Jeremiah Shingledecker returned to Victory Lane earlier this season, but has suffered through some bad luck which has resulted in DNFs.  Dave Murdick sits fifth in points ahead of Garrett Krummert, Jimmy Weller, Steve Feder, JR McGinley and Kevin Bolland.

The Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Crate Sportsman/Stock division has seen seven different feature winners this season, but its once again Corey McPherson, (with 381 points), atop the point standings as he has been for most of the past five seasons.  With three feature wins, McPherson leads the division, but hasnt taken the checkered flag since Friday, June 10.  Joey Zambotti has two feature wins and is tied for the Fab4 lead with six heat race wins.  Zambotti enters the five week stretch run trailing McPherson by 33 markers.  The rest of the top five is separated by just three points as Tyler Dietz (323), Aaron Easler (322) and Terry Young (320) have all scored feature wins and consistently finish up front.  Bob Egley and Joe Kelley each have feature wins this season as well, but have struggled to consistently finish up front; much less at all sometimes. Brett McDonald, Paul Schreckengost and Brandon Wearing currently sit in the top ten in points.

This Friday, July 29 is also Nostalgia Night as Rappin on Racins Don Gamble has once again assembled a whos who of the drivers spanning the almost 50 year history of Don Martins Lernerville Speedway.  As always, in addition to the drivers, there will also be classic race cars on display, including the beautifully restored Yenko #1 Camaro/Late Model made famous by all time Lernerville wins leader and Hall of Famer Bob Wearing Sr.

Fab4 Racing Fueled by Turners Premium Iced Teas will continue through the final weekend in August, culminating with Championship Night of Friday, August 26 when we will crown of 2016 Track Champions.

While further details will be forthcoming about format and payout, the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman/Stocks have been added to the Working Man 50 weekend featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on Friday/Saturday, September 2/3 of Labor Day Weekend.
