Inside Line Promotions – SARVER, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2019) – Kraig Kinser recorded a pair of top-10 results during a trio of World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races last week.

The action began on Wednesday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., where Kinser qualified 11th quickest before he placed fourth in a heat race. He started 15th in the main event, but had to restart at the tail of the field after being involved in an incident.

“We were a little off at the beginning of the race and we spun,” he said. “We went to the back and gutted it out and wound up with a decent finish so we were happy about that. We were moving forward in the second half of the race.”

Kinser rallied to a seventh-place result.

He returned to competition on Friday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, during the BeFour the Crowns Showdown. Kinser timed in sixth quickest in his group and finished third in a heat race before ending the night 16th in the A Main.

“I can’t complain,” he said. “I had a chance at the dash and we locked into the show. I wish we could have been a little better in the feature. We broke into the top 10 early, but we were a little too tight and couldn’t do things with the car that I normally could at Eldora. It took most of the race for me to get comfortable and squared away as a driver to do what I needed. It was a quick track and not as slick as it normally gets so it was easier to get ahold of the track.”

The weekend concluded on Saturday at Lernerville Speedway, which hosted the Commonwealth Clash. Kinser qualified eighth quickest, scored a third-place result in a heat and advanced a pair of positions in the main event to finish 10th. It marked his 25th top 10 of the season.

“I’m happy with a top 10,” he said. “The next deal is to get in those dashes. You have to help yourself by getting in the dashes and starting toward the front.”

The team returns to World of Outlaws competition this Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., during the Champion Racing Oil National Open.

“Hopefully we can carry some momentum into Williams Grove,” he said. “We want to start out fairly quick and then only have to make minor adjustments.”
