Thursday's Firecracker 100 Preliminary Features Postponed to Friday Afternoon!
Persistent rains throughout the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series heat races on Thursday night and more steady showers as the first of two $5,000 to-win, 25-lap feature events rolled onto the speedway forced officials to postpone the two preliminary features to Friday, June 23. The events will be held beginning at 11:30am with hot laps and the first feature to hit the speedway at 12:00pm. The second feature will follow directly after the first feature. Pit gates will open at 10:30am with the grandstand gates opening at 11:00am.
Friday's portion of the 17th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel will continue as originally scheduled with pit gates opening at 3:00pm and grandstand gates at 4:00pm. Hot laps are slated to begin at 6:00pm with opening ceremonies at 7:30pm.
