Sarver, PA (August 21, 2025) With our weekly racing season concluded last Friday night, the Lernerville Speedway specials season kicks off on Saturday to a Sprint Car fans delight with our annual Sprint Car Spectacular plus Fireworks presented by Peluso Roofing. The Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars, Allegheny Sprint Tour 305s and Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Sprints will all be in action with extra money on the line for the winners as we ramp up our postseason schedule of events at The Action Track. There'll be $5,000 on the line for the Peoples Sprint Car feature winner on Saturday night, while the AST 305s battle for a $1,300 top prize and the RUSH Sprint Car winner will collect a cool $1,100 all courtesy of Peluso Roofing.

The event has drawn its fair share of invaders over the years with Central PA veteran Mark Smith collecting the win in 2024 as drivers from Ohio, Indiana, and even Australia have competed in the late summer classic since its inception in 2018. Nine time track champion AJ Flick leads the leaders list with three career victories in Sprint Car Spectacular action and should be one to watch again this year.

There area's best Sprint Car pilots and invaders from beyond will be there to try to take the top prize back home. The cars and drivers of the Allegheny Sprint Tour have had several looks at The Action Track in 2025 as they were a standing portion of our inaugural Dirt.TV 3-Wide Sunday Series. They completed three programs at Lernerville as Beech Creek, PA driver Timmy Bittner went two for two, crossing first under the checkers in both of his appearances. Sprint Tour points leader Jeremy Kornbau took the win back on April 27, which was opening night for the 3-Wide Series.

Meanwhile, Saturday will mark the first appearance of the season for the RUSH Sprint Cars. The traditional non-wing Sprint Cars, powered by a GM Performance 602 engine have put on some fantastic shows over the years at Lernerville with lots of three and four wide racing and wild finishes. With an extra $500 going to the winner, expect a deep field and tons of action as they provide contrast to the winged varieties on Saturday's card. Coming into Saturday night, the top four racers in the RUSH Sprint Car standings, Blaze Myers, John Mollick, Zach Morrow and Arnie Kent have tons of experience at Lernerville and all have feature wins at the track to boot.

Current Allegheny Sprint Tour Point Standings

  1. Jeremy Kornbau- 222
